Young Mineralogists

In addition to the specialist groups for adult participants, the Museum of Natural History also offers children and teenagers the opportunity to exchange ideas. The working group meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. at the main entrance to the museum building in Otto-von-Guericke-Straße.

In the working group you can:

• Come together at regular intervals in the museum
• Learn about rocks and fossils and how to identify them
• Prepare objects you have brought for your own collection
• Go on a collecting excursion with palaeontologist Dr. Michael Buchwitz at three weekends a year and apply what you have learned in the open air
